Henry Johnstone’s bio…

Henry is a youth empowerment and performance coach, podcaster, author and host of the worlds only metalwork for mental health retreats. Henry is an unshakeable believer in the power of self.

He was sectioned twice more in his adult life and lived experienced with Bi-polar, OCD, ADHD, dyspraxia, dyslexia, de-personalisation disorder, suicidal ideation, anxiety disorder and borderline personality disorder. Henry became an alcoholic and a drug addict, and he experienced homelessness and a long relationship with self-harm.

Henry is wedded to the ideal of persuading young people to avoid walking the path of his adolescent years and early 20s. He is driven to educate the world on how to understand mental health illness, addiction and the dangerous pressures masculinity is placing on young men.

Henry combines his love of metalwork artistry and coaching into his transformational metal work retreats. At present this is the only retreat of its kind in the world. Across four days Henry and his facilitators mentor young men in not only transforming steel but transforming themselves.
