Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW) will take place from 18-24 May 2020. The theme this year is 'kindness'. 

Dave’s bio…

Dave's anorexia developed in his late teens, continuing for nearly a decade before he was rushed into treatment which lasted 2.5 years. Using this experience Dave now gives talks, speeches and workshops in schools, workplaces and at events. Dave's a media spokesperson for Mind, The Mental Health Foundation & Beat (The UK's Eating Disorder Charity) and has appeared on BBC Breakfast, ITV's Lorraine & presented a series for BBC's Tomorrow's World. Dave's number 1 best selling book 'Weight Expectations' has lead him to write widely about a range of topics (including eating disorders, masculinity and mental health) in The Guardian, The Telegraph, Metro, GQ, Cosmopolitan and others.

As an award-winning stand up comic Dave tours the country using comedy to make mental health more accessible and uses humour in his talks to creatively engage audiences and make them laugh as well as think.
