Peter Larkum

Elite Gold Standard MHFA Instructor - Associate Director LMI-UK

From Peter…

I am the father of three beautiful boys and I love spending quality family time together with them and my wife.

My passion is driven by seeing first hand the positive changes made in people. Sharing the knowledge and skills that I have, allowing others to try it out, and watching them become less stressed and more productive.

If you say to yourself, "I want to change but I’m unable to…" That’s where I help.

Peter has been delivering leadership and emotional wellbeing training for over 20 years. As an award-winning Mental Health First Aid instructor, Peter leverages his specialist knowledge in forming resiliant and confident leaders through LMI UK.

Based in Winchester, Hampshire, Peter is married to Hannah, and father to three energetic and playful boys.

Peter's career began with over a decade of experience in youth work. He witnessed first-hand the increase in mental-ill health amongst young people today. Through his work with MHFA England (Mental Health First Aid), he regularly equips and trains those affected by academic pressures, social media, bullying, and poverty.

Peter also works with companies across the UK through LMI UK — one of the world's leading people-development companies — to help business leaders and managers achieve personal and business success.

This dynamic mix, means Peter understands the positive impact made when people are able to work more productively and reduce daily stress, which not only cuts the cost mental health has on the UK economy but radically increases workforce morale and productivity.

His personable approach and relaxed style are often commented on by his clients. Peter successfully delivers material not only with practical insight and humour but also  care and sensitivity to each person's experiences.

As a professional trainer and charismatic public speaker, Peter travels nationwide, delivering high quality courses and engaging presentations across the private, public, and third sectors.
